Music Monday: Fall Out Boy Collaborations

Happy Monday everyone and welcome back to Music Monday! Let's share some songs we've been enjoying lately!  If you would like to play and I really hope you do, please see the rules and link up below.

Rules:

Every Monday share one or two of songs you've been enjoying lately.  It doesn't have to be a specific genre, new, or one of your favorites - just something you'd like to share with others.  If possible, share a music or lyric video of the song and your thoughts on the song(s), artist(s), and/or music video(s).

If you would like to participate in Music Monday, please join the link up at the bottom of this post by sharing your post's url.

Finally, have fun sharing and discovering new to you music!

Fall Out Boy has been one of my favorite groups since high school and I've always enjoyed listening to their new music.  Instead of sharing some of my favorite songs by the band today, I thought I'd spotlight some of my favorite musical collaborations featuring the group.

"Irresistable" by Fall Out Boy, featuring Demi Lovato (2015) - This is actually the remixed version of the song, but I think I actually prefer it to the original version.  Demi Lovato and Patick Stumps voices sound great together - I never would have expected that to be the case.  The video is pretty cool - it actually recreates the video for N'SYNC's "It's Gonna Be Me" with the band as dolls, plus has cameos by Chris Kirkpatrick and Joey Fatone!

"What a Catch, Donnie" by Fall Out Boy, featuring Elvis Costello, Gabe Saporta, Travis McCoy, Brendon Urie, Doug Neumann, Alex DeLeon, and William Beckett (2008) - This song is worth listening to hear the guest vocalists.  I love hearing their interpretations of earlier Fall Out Boy songs!  The video is also pretty nostalgic as it features props from some of their other music videos.  And, of course, you get to see the featured guest vocalists (unfortunately, they don't preform in video) and other acts often associated with Fall Out Boy.  Brendon Urie looks so young - and so does Spencer Smith for that matter!  This song really makes me wish Brendon Urie would record a full length version of "Dance, Dance"...
