Music Monday: The Sound of Sight

Happy Monday everyone and welcome back to Music Monday! Let's share some songs we've been enjoying lately!  If you would like to play and I really hope you do, please see the rules and link up below.

Rules:

Every Monday share a few songs you've been enjoying lately.  It doesn't have to be a specific genre, new, or one of your favorites - just something you'd like to share with others.  If possible, share a music or lyric video of the song and your thoughts on the song(s), artist(s), and/or music video(s).

If you would like to participate in Music Monday, please join the link up by sharing your post's url.

Welcome back everyone and Happy New Year's Eve Eve!  Today, I'm featuring an album that I totally picked up on a whim from an antique shop for $1.  The album is called The Sound of Sight and it's from Ray Martin and His Orchestra and I believe it's from 1964.  I hadn't heard of it and I wasn't at all familiar with the composer/ conductor either, but it just sounded so enticing.  It's got several themed tracks that fit certain genres and the gatefold style cover features a little story to go with each one track.  The whole album is pretty cool, but I'd say my favorites are Hoodunit, A Whale of a Tale, and Destination: Space.  Give it a listen:
