Books From The Backlog: Property of a Lady Faire (Secret Histories #8) by Simon R. Green

Happy Thursday everyone! Welcome back to Books from the Backlog, the weekly linkup I'm taking part of which is hosted by Carole's Random Life in Books.  This is a great way to put a spotlight on books that I've had sitting on my shelf for awhile.  I don't know when I'll get to my weekly featured book, but I hope to some time hopefully soon.

This Week's Neglected Book:

Property of a Lady Faire (Secret Histories #8) by Simon R. Green

Published: June 3, 2014

Genre: Urban fantasy

My Copy:

Format: Hardback

Pages: 384

Where I Acquired It: Thrift store

Summary (From Goodreads):

Call me Drood, Eddie Drood. Some know me as Shaman Bond and most simply don’t want to know me at all. For centuries, my family has been keeping the things that lurk on the darker side of existence as far away as possible from humans like you, without you even knowing we’re there.

Unfortunately for us, not everybody appreciates what we Droods do. Recently, I personally managed to survive yet another attempt on my life, but the rest of my relatives weren’t so lucky. My parents are missing in action. My grandfather has been murdered. And the future of my family lies in the iron grasp of the Lady Faire, an incredibly seductive, mysterious, and powerful being.

She possesses an ancient object that can save them. I have to steal it from her. Easy enough to say, difficult—and very, very dangerous—to do...

Why Did I Add It?

I've started another series by this author and I loved it, so I've got another one to jump into.  I think I'll have a lot of good reading to get caught up on before I get here.

Have you read this or would you read it?  Would you recommend it to me?  As always, thanks for visiting my blog and perhaps even commenting down below!
