The Friday 56 (With Book Beginnings): Steeplejack (Steeplejack #1) by A.J. Hartley

On Friday's I take part in three weekly link ups - The Friday 56, hosted by Freda's Voice, and Book Beginnings, hosted by Rose City Reader.  For The Friday 56, you choose a book, a book you have just finished, a book you are about to start, your current read, and share a line or a few lines that grab you (but don't spoil anything) from page 56 or 56% of the way through the ebook. Post it and share your post's url on Freda's most recent Friday 56 post. As for Book Beginnings, you share the first sentence or so and your initial thoughts, impressions, or whatever else it inspires, and then link up your post's url with Rose City Reader.

Happy Friday everyone!  This week I'm spotlighting my current ScreamAthon readathon book, Steeplejack (Steeplejack #1) by A.J. Hartley.  This has been on my shelf for ages and I'm glad I'm finally getting to it.

Beginning:

The last person up here never made it down alive, but there was no point thinking about that.

56:

BOY FALLS FROM CHIMNEY.

Are you taking part in this readathon?  What are you reading this weekend?  As always, thanks for visiting my blog and perhaps even commenting down below!

  2. Nope, haven't read it, but love the title! I'm not taking part in the screamathon readathon, I'm doing Fraterfest, but not doing so well with that at the moment...!! Maybe I'll perform my own miracle and get a couple more done before tomorrow midnight!

Good luck with your readathon, enjoy your books and here's my Weekend Book Friends #12

  7. I read this one several years ago and found it pretty compelling. Unfortunately the plot has faded for me so I won't be looking for the sequel if there is one. My Friday Post

  9. I hope you are enjoying ScreamAthon! I am so out of the loop when it comes to these types of events. Steeplejack sounds good. I like how the opening and your 56 fit so well together. I hope you have a great weekend!

  11. Whoa! The cover certainly seems to tie with the beginning of the book. Add that to the list of jobs I don't want! LOL Thanks for sharing and enjoy your week :)

  12. Well, that sounds scary! And the cover fits really well, too. I'm not a horror or scary-story reader, tbh, but I hope you are enjoying this one.
