The Friday 56 (With Book Beginnings): The Initial Insult (The Initial Insult #1) by Mindy McGinnis

On Friday's I take part in two weekly link ups - The Friday 56, hosted by Freda's Voice, and Book Beginnings, hosted by Rose City Reader.  For The Friday 56, you choose a book, a book you have just finished, a book you are about to start, your current read, and share a line or a few lines that grab you (but don't spoil anything) from page 56 or 56% of the way through the ebook. Post it and share your post's url on Freda's most recent Friday 56 post. As for Book Beginnings, you share the first sentence or so and your initial thoughts, impressions, or whatever else it inspires, and then link up your post's url with Rose City Reader.

Happy Friday everyone! This week I'm spotlighting my current Trope-ical Readathon books, The Initial Insult (The Initial Insult #1) by Mindy McGinnis.  This author has quickly become one of my favorites and I'm so excited to finally get to start in on it.

Beginning:

Out here, something can turn to nothing real fast.

56:

Ribbit is on his way over to help as soon as he sees the tears, and I shake my head.

Are you taking part in this readathon?  Have you read this book?  As always, thanks for visiting and perhaps even commenting down below!

  2. Hadn't heard of this readathon. I'll be doing some reading, but I don't have the time to devote to reading right now, unfortunately. Well, devote any more time than I already do.

Sounds like an interesting book. Hope you enjoy.

  3. Mindy McGinnis is new to me, but I do love the sounds of this, especially the opening. The name Ribbit did make me chuckle a little though! The Readathon sounds great, but I'm usually horrible at maintaining a good reading speed to take part in them xD Thanks for sharing and I hope you have a lovely weekend :)
