Top Ten Tuesday: 2023 Book Adaptations I'm Looking Forward To

Happy Tuesday everyone!  Welcome to the Top Ten Tuesday hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.  This week's topic is a freebie and I've decided to share 2023 Book Adaptations I'm Looking Forward To.  There are some great looking movies and tv shows coming out and/ or coming back for a new season this year and quite a few are based on books so let's get into it.  Without further ado, here we go:

Disney+

American Born Chinese - This graphic novel is fantastic and I can't wait to see how they bring this to life.  Plus, Michelle Yeoh and Ke Huy Quan are part of the cast.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians - I have very high hopes for this series.  I hope it will live up to its potential.  Also, I've heard this could be released late this year or early next year.  I'm hoping this year!

Netflix

The Fall of the House of Usher - Mike Flannagan is one of my favorites and I can't wait to see what he and the amazing cast will do with Poe.

Heartstopper, Season 2 - The first season was outstanding and I can't wait to see where the adaptation goes.

Lockwood & Co. - I love all the books in this series and the trailer looks like great.  I can't wait to see how it will be!

Nimona - This graphic novel is so much fun and I really hope the animated adaptation will live up to it!

Shadow and Bone, Season 2 - The first season was outstanding and I can't wait to see some of my favorite characters again, especially those that will make their screen debut in this upcoming season.

The Witcher, Season 3 - It's hard to believe that season 3 will be Henry Cavill's final turn as Geralt.  I will definitely be watching.

Prime Video:

Good Omens, Season 2 - I love the novel that this is based on so much, and season one was perfect.  I can't wait to see David Tennant and Michael Sheen get to reprise their roles as Crowley and Aziraphale!

Theaters:

Renfield - Oh my gosh, the trailer for this looks like a lot of fun.  Nicolas Cage as Dracula seems like an inspired choice!  Also, Brandon Scott Jones is in it, and it's always good to see someone from Ghosts (CBS) pop up in anything.

What book adaptations are you looking forward to this year?  As always, thanks for visiting my blog and perhaps even commenting down below!

  1. It's wonderful that Hollywood is always watching the good books to make a good movie/series.

  7. I need to read Lockwood & Co! I saw that pop up the other day on Netflix and had to really restrain myself, because I want to read the book series before watching the adaptation. xD Oh my gosh, I DEFINITELY need Good Omens 2! I needed it the minute I finished watching the first one . . . which was the day after it released, basically lol. So looking forward to that!
