The Friday 56 (With Book Beginnings): Nekropolis (Matt Richter #1) by Tim Waggoner

On Friday's I take part in two weekly link ups - The Friday 56, currently hosted by Anne @ My Head Is Full of Books, and Book Beginnings, hosted by Rose City Reader.  For The Friday 56, you choose a book, a book you have just finished, a book you are about to start, your current read, and share a line or a few lines that grab you (but don't spoil anything) from page 56 or 56% of the way through the ebook. Post it and share your post's url on Freda's most recent Friday 56 post. As for Book Beginnings, you share the first sentence or so and your initial thoughts, impressions, or whatever else it inspires, and then link up your post's url with Rose City Reader.

Happy Friday everyone!  This week I'm spotlighting one of my Spell It Out Reading Challenge 2025 books, Nekropolis (Matt Richter #1) by Tim Waggoner.  I've really liked what I've read from this author and this sounds something like Dan Chambeaux meets Eric Carter which sounds cool to me.  I'm reading it now and so far it's pretty good.

Beginning:

I was sitting in Skully's, nursing a beer that I couldn't taste, and which I'd have to throw up later, and trying real hard to look like I was minding my own business, when the lyke walked in.

56:

Being dead , I guess my sense of balance was less affected by the tumultuous ride than Devona's.  As soon as her feet touched the cobblestones, her knees buckled under her.

Have you read this book?  Have you ever done a challenge like this?  As always, thanks for visiting my blog and perhaps even commenting below!
