Sci-Fi Month 2016 - Announcement & TBR

Welcome to Sci-Fi Month 2016!  Sci-Fi Month is a month long celebration of all things sci-fi and it's hosted by Rinn Reads and Over the Effing Rainbow. When I first saw this around the blogosphere last year, I knew I had to take part this time around!  I'll still be doing my regular posts, and some of them, like my Top Ten Tuesday posts will have a sci-fi flavor.  At the end of the month, I'll also be holding a giveaway - so be sure to check back for that!

My Sci-Fi TBR:

The Last Day of Captain Linclon by EXO Books - I received a free ecopy of this novella from the author in exchange for an honest review.  I actually just finished this, so watch out for my review of this thoughtful exploration of life and death on a generation ship.

The 13th Continuum ( The Continuum Trilogy #1) by Jennifer Brody - I won this novel from the author during this past YASH and it sounds like it'll be a great sci-fi dsytopia.

Gemina (The Illuminae Files #2) by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff - I'm beyond excited for the sequel of Illuminae which I absolutely loved!

The Circuit: Executor Rising (The Rising #1) by Rhett C. Bruno - I actually won this book in a Goodreads giveaway awhile ago.  It's about time I get to this space-opera.

Lock In (Lock In #1) by John Scalzi - I've heard so many good things about this novel and this author.  It's about time I try his work!

Time Salvager (Time Salvger #1) by Wesley Chu - This sounds like exactly the kind of time travel I will love.  Plus, this will be my first Wesley Chu novel.

Will you be participating in this year's Sci-Fi Month?  Have you read any of the books on my tbr?

  1. Hey glad you're doing SciFi Month! I liked Time Salvager and haven't seen a lot of people reading or reviewing it so I'll be glad to see yours. And I always like a good generation ship tale so The Last Day of Capt. Lincoln looks interesting. And of course Gemina. :)

    Happy reading!

  2. I think science fiction is the one genre that I neglect the most. I still haven't read Illuminae, hopefully earlier next year I can make the time. Good luck getting to all the books on your list!
