Happy Tuesday everyone! Welcome to the Top Ten Tuesday now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week's topic is Books I’ve Added to my TBR and Forgotten Why (stolen from Louise @ Foxes & Fairy Tales), but I'm doing something completely different again this week. Instead I'm featuring some of my favorite YA books by African-American authors. Given everything that's been going on around the world and in our own backyards, I thought I could try to spread some positivity - it's the least I can do to be a good ally to try to amplify voices that should be heard. Here we go, in alphabetical order by title:
Have you read any of these? Are any of these on you TBR? As always, thanks for visiting my blog and perhaps even commenting down below! Stay healthy and safe everyone.
I really should read Children of Blood and Bone and The Hate U Give soon!!
ReplyDeleteYes, they're so good czai!
DeleteGreat list! I love Dread Nation, and I need to cross With the Fire On High and The Hate U Give off my TBR.

DeleteA huge YES to Long Way Down. All-American Boys is another book I highly recommend as well.
ReplyDeleteI've got it on my tbr. :)
DeleteLoved THUG! Children of Blood and Bone is on my eshelf, but I still haven't gotten to it yet 🙈 My tbr is out of control! Lol. Great post! 💖
ReplyDeleteMine is too - so many good books!
DeleteThe only on this list I've read is THUG, but I have very unpopular opinions on that one... I have Children of Blood and Bone and Dear Martin on my TBR, but I'll have to check out some of these other ones as well! Monday's Not Coming and Binti both caught my attention from the list.
ReplyDeleteI hope you find some you'll enjoy!
DeleteElizabeth Acevedo is just so talented. I am really looking forward to reading her newest release.
