Top Ten Tuesday: Books With My Favorite Badass Bookworms

Happy Tuesday everyone!  Welcome to Top Ten Tuesday which is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.  This week's topic is Books With Your Favorite Trope/Theme (Submitted by Raincheckandread.com) and I've decided to go share books with some of my favorite badass bookworms.  Here we go, in alphabetical order by title:

Carved in the Flesh (Supernatural #12) by Tim Waggoner

The Complete Sherlock Holmes by Arthur Conan Doyle

Furies of Calderon (Codex Alera #1) Jim Butcher

Dracula by Bram Stoker

The Fellowship of the Ring (The Lord of the Rings #1) by J.R.R. Tolkien

Good Omens by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (Harry Potter #1) by J.K. Rowling

Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell by Susanna Clarke

Snow Crash by Neal Stephenson

Storm Front (The Dresden Files #1) by Jim Butcher

Have you read any of these books?  What are some of your favorite bookish tropes?  As always, thanks for visiting my blog and perhaps even commenting down below!

  1. This is a fun topic - makes me think of The Neverending Story in which an inveterate bookworm ends up actually entering a book and becoming a hero (and a villain too). Right now I am reading The Shadow of the Wind, which starts with a ten-year-old reading and becoming obsessed with the eponymous book, which shapes the rest of his life.

  2. Interesting trope! I had to churn my memory a bit to remember which of the book characters had impressive libraries/ book collections. Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell, of course, tops the list -- what a hoarder that man was (and NOT in a good way!).
