Book Riot's 2022 Read Harder Challenge - July Update: Almost American Girl & Odd Girls and Twilight Lovers

Happy Sunday everyone!  I hope everyone's been doing well.  July went by fast!  How is it already August?  Anyway, I've now completed the 14 tasks of  Book Riot's 2022 Read Harder Challenge .  The tasks I completed this month required me to r ead a nonfiction YA comic  and  to pick  a challenge from any of the previous years’ challenges to repeat   ( fits the 2021 task to read an LGBTQ History book)  and I selected  Almost American Girl  by Robin Ha  and  Odd Girls and Twilight Lovers: A History of Lesbian Life in Twentieth Century America  by Lillian Faderman  respectively.   Read on to see my mini reviews and what's coming up for August: ❋   ❋  ❋  ❋   ❋  Almost American Girl  by Robin Ha  is another great example of why graphic memoirs are quickly becoming one of my favorite things to read.  The author's story is incredibly moving and emotional.  I was really invested in her story and her experiences - the good and the bad.  To be honest, some of the things she we

Happy Saturday everyone!  Today, I'm sharing three ARC mini reviews -  Locklands  ( The Founders Trilogy #3) by Robert Jackson Bennett   (released June 28th, 2022),  The Third Crossing  ( War of the Last Day  #0) by Karim Soliman  (to be released August 1st, 2022), and What Moves The Dead by T. Kingfisher (released July 12th, 2022).  I received the ARCs of  Locklands and What Moves The Dead from NetGalley in exchange for an honest honest review and The Third Crossing from the author in exchange for an hones review.  Read on to see my thoughts: ❋   ❋  ❋  ❋   Locklands  ( The Founders Trilogy  #3) by Robert Jackson Bennett   was hands down one of my most highly anticipated reads of this summer.  Somehow I was lucky enough to get approved on NetGalley for an ARC - I might have shrieked at my screen when I read that email!  It's tough knowing that it's the finale novel in the series because I just didn't want to say goodbye to this world or these characters yet.  I don&#
