Music Monday: Riders in the Sky

Happy Monday everyone and welcome back to Music Monday! Let's share some songs we've been enjoying lately!  If you would like to play and I really hope you do, please see the rules and link up below.

Rules:

Every Monday share a few songs you've been enjoying lately.  It doesn't have to be a specific genre, new, or one of your favorites - just something you'd like to share with others.  If possible, share a music or lyric video of the song and your thoughts on the song(s), artist(s), and/or music video(s).

If you would like to participate in Music Monday, please join the link up by sharing your post's url.

This week I'm spotlighting Riders in the Sky, the Cowboy and Western band.  You may not recognize them, but I have a feeling you've heard their music, especially if you like Pixar movies.  They provided the music for Woody's Roundup in Toy Story 2 (1999) (in the video below they also play "You've Got A Friend In Me") and they scored the Pixar short For the Birds (2000) which was shown before Monsters, Inc. (2001) in theaters.

  1. I loved them as a child. Honestly hadn't thought of them for years but I think I love them just as much. Good musical choice.

    1. A couple of years ago I got to see them for free when they gave a show in my area - it was a lot of fun. :) Thanks for visiting, Nathan!
