Music Monday: Dumplin'

Happy Monday everyone and welcome back to Music Monday! Let's share some songs we've been enjoying lately!  If you would like to play and I really hope you do, please see the rules and link up below.

Rules:

Every Monday share a few songs you've been enjoying lately.  It doesn't have to be a specific genre, new, or one of your favorites - just something you'd like to share with others.  If possible, share a music or lyric video of the song and your thoughts on the song(s), artist(s), and/or music video(s).

If you would like to participate in Music Monday, please join the link up by sharing your post's url.

This past Friday I sat down and watched Dumplin' on Netflix based on the novel by Julie Murphy and it was a solid adaptation - you can read my review of the movie on Letterboxd.  Netflix is doing a fantastic job with YA adaptations lately, aren't they (Netflix please adapt more YA books stat!)?  Seriously, if you haven't watched it yet, what are you waiting for?  Anyway, if you didn't already know Dolly Parton herself actually wrote six all new songs for the movie - one of which has been nominated for Best Original Songs at the Golden Globe awards.  Anyway, today I'm spotlighting my favorite new Dolly songs featured in the movie - "Girl in the Movies", "Push and Pull" (featuring Jennifer Aniston & Danielle Macdonald), and "If We Don't" (featuring Rhonda Vincent & Alison Krauss).
