Top Ten Tuesday: Favorite Books Released In The Last Ten Years

Happy Tuesday everyone!  Welcome to the Top Ten Tuesday now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.  This week's topic is Favorite Books Released In The Last Ten Years (one for each year) (submitted by Anne @ Head Full of Books).  This is going to be so difficult!  Here we go - beginning in 2018 and working my way all the way back to 2008:

2018: Nothing But Sky by Amy Trueblood

2017: A Conjuring of Light (Shades of Magic #3) by V.E. Schwab

2016: Borderline (The Arcadia Project #1) by Mishell Baker

2015: The Girl with Ghost Eyes (The Daoshi Chronicles #1) by M.H. Boroson

2014: Cress (The Lunar Chronicles #3) by Marissa Meyer

2013: Written in Red (The Others #1) by Anne Bishop

2012: The Raven Boys (The Raven Cycle #1) by Maggie Stiefvater

2011: 11/22/63 by Stephen King

2010: Room by Emma Donoghue

2009: The Monstrumologist (The Monstrumologist #1) by Rick Yancey

2008: The Hunger Games (The Hunger Games #1) by Suzanne Collins

Have you read any of these books?  What are some of your favorite books that have been released in the last ten years?  As always, thanks for visiting my blog and perhaps even commenting down below!

  1. Ooh The Hunger Games- can you believe I just read that series for the first time a years ago? Loved em too! And so many of these look good!

  2. "Nothing But Sky" looks interesting, and someday I STILL need to give The Lunar Chronicles a fair chance. :) Certainly a fun topic - especially to go back and see what we were reading ten years ago vs. today.

  3. I guess it's time for my weekly "I need to read a VE Schwab" comment, LOL. And the Lunar Chronicles. If my list had gone as far back as 2008, the Hunger Games might have made my list this week too.

  4. A Conjuring of Light and The Raven Boys were on my list this week too!

  5. 11/22/63 also made my list! There are several others on your list that I loved, but I chose other books those years. I thought this was a fun exercise 😁

  6. The Hunger Games have popped up on a few lists this week. How on earth is this series already a decade old? :)

  7. I really need to read the Shades of Magic series! They look so great, and at this point, I'll read almost anything by VE Schwab. I really need to read The Raven Boys and catch up on, like, half of Stephen King's books. Wow. I'm so behind on everything, as it turns out. xD I hadn't heard of The Monstrumologist, but I am for sure going to have to read that one! :o And one of the reviewers compared it to a cross between Supernatural and Sherlock and now I'm just all the more dying to read it! Thanks for the great list.

  9. Great list. I've been on the fence about reading Shades of Magic because I didn't really like the other series written by Schwab, The Archived, and I just don't know. I might check it out from my library though.

  12. It is really fun to look back on the past ten years to see what we were reading years ago. Can you believe that it was only ten years ago when you were reading Hunger Games for the first time? My 10 years of favorites

  13. A Conjuring of Light was such a great conclusion. It might actually be my favorite in that whole series.

  16. The Raven Cycle books definitely deserve a place on a "best" list. I loved that series! The world amazing and odd and the characters were so compelling.

  17. I have Room in my 'TBR'... I've put off reading this novel as I've already seen the movie adaptation!! Maybe I just need to bite the bullet and read it.

    1. Both the movie and the book are great - I just wish the movie had been marketed a little differently. Thanks for sharing!

  18. I loved A Conjuring of Light and Cress! I really need to read The Monstrumologist (I have most of the series unread on my shelves) and I really want to read Nothing But Sky!

  19. The Raven Boys and The Hunger Games... some YA classics right there!

  20. I've been seeing lots of VE Schwab on these lists - I need to read something by her asap. I loved 11/22/63 even though I don't really care for S.K. and I'm not much for history. It was a fantastic read.
