Happy Monday everyone! This week I'm spotlighting my three favorite songs from the soundtrack of Rocketman (2019) starring Taron Egerton as Elton John - I'm Still Standing, Saturday Night's Alright (For Fighting), and Crocodile Rock. I finally had the opportunity to see the movie last week and I was really impressed. I know almost nothing about Elton John's life aside from the songs themselves, so I have no idea how historically accurate the movie is or not. I do know that Taron Egerton is incredibly talented as is Kit Connor who portrays older Reggie. Have you seen this movie or do you want to see it in the future? What were your favorite songs from it?
I haven't watched Rocketman, so I haven't listened to these songs. I like them.
ReplyDeleteThey did a good job working them into the movie. ;)
DeleteFirst time hearing the songs, not bad at all!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad I had the chance to watch the movie. :)
DeleteI need to listen to more of Elton John's music.
ReplyDeleteI feel like I need to listen to the originals again after watching the movie.
DeleteI haven't seen this one yet. I think I heard that Elton John was involved in this film so it is supposed to be pretty accurate. More than Bohemian Rhapsody was. (Which I loved.) Great pick this week!
ReplyDeleteI think he's one of the executive producers on the movie actually. I've seen both and I loved both, but I think I prefer this one. :)
DeleteThanks, Kristi!
