Music Monday: Rocketman (2019)

Happy Monday everyone and welcome back to Music Monday! Let's share some songs we've been enjoying lately!  If you would like to play and I really hope you do, please see the rules and link up below.

Rules:

Every Monday share a few songs you've been enjoying lately.  It doesn't have to be a specific genre, new, or one of your favorites - just something you'd like to share with others.  If possible, share a music or lyric video of the song and your thoughts on the song(s), artist(s), and/or music video(s).

If you would like to participate in Music Monday, please join the link up by sharing your post's url.

Happy Monday everyone!  This week I'm spotlighting my three favorite songs from the soundtrack of Rocketman (2019) starring Taron Egerton as Elton John - I'm Still Standing, Saturday Night's Alright (For Fighting), and Crocodile Rock.  I finally had the opportunity to see the movie last week and I was really impressed.  I know almost nothing about Elton John's life aside from the songs themselves, so I have no idea how historically accurate the movie is or not.  I do know that Taron Egerton is incredibly talented as is Kit Connor who portrays older Reggie.  Have you seen this movie or do you want to see it in the future?  What were your favorite songs from it?

  4. I haven't seen this one yet. I think I heard that Elton John was involved in this film so it is supposed to be pretty accurate. More than Bohemian Rhapsody was. (Which I loved.) Great pick this week!

    1. I think he's one of the executive producers on the movie actually. I've seen both and I loved both, but I think I prefer this one. :)

      Thanks, Kristi!
