The Friday 56 (With Book Beginnings): Murder of Crows (The Others #2) by Anne Bishop

On Friday's I take part in three weekly link ups - The Friday 56, hosted by Freda's Voice, and Book Beginnings, hosted by Rose City Reader.  For The Friday 56, you choose a book, a book you have just finished, a book you are about to start, your current read, and share a line or a few lines that grab you (but don't spoil anything) from page 56 or 56% of the way through the ebook. Post it and share your post's url on Freda's most recent Friday 56 post. As for Book Beginnings, you share the first sentence or so and your initial thoughts, impressions, or whatever else it inspires, and then link up your post's url with Rose City Reader.

Happy Friday everyone!  This week I'm spotlighting one of my current Name-a-Thon reads, Murder of Crows (The Others #2) by Anne Bishop.  I loved the first book in this series and I'm so happy to jump back into this world.

Beginning:

Nudged awake by his bedmate's restless movements, Simon Wolfgard yawned, rolled over on his belly, and studied Meg Corbyn.

56:

Multiple cries now because the Crows knew he meant it.

What are you reading this week?  Have you read this book?  As always, thanks for visiting my blog and perhaps even commenting down below!

  1. I don't know this book or the series, but the 56 sentence did caught my attention for sure.

  5. Hi Lauren! Hope you're good! This looks like a fantastic read, I feel like I've been missing out on so many books lately. I'm joining in this week after a period of joining in, but forgetting to actually join in! (So much going on in my life right now...) So, yeah I know I'm late, hoping to get back into the swing of things, starting today... Here is my Friday56, although very late, just in case you're still playing!
