Happy Tuesday everyone! In honor of Wyrd & Wonder (a month long celebration of all things fantasy co-hosted by Lisa @ Dear Geek Place, imyril @ There’s Always Room For One More, Ariana @ Book Nook Reviews, Annemieke @ A Dance With Books, and Jorie @ Jorie Loves A Story), Top Ten Tuesday, hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl will be fantasy themed each week this month.
This week I'm sharing Backlist Fantasy Books On My TBR. There are just so many great looking books that this list could almost go on forever to be honest, but I've narrowed it down to those I'd love to get to soon. Here we go, in alphabetical order by title:
The Alchemyst (The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel #1) by Michael Scott - This sounds like a fun take on classic mythology.
Bloodlist (Vampire Files #1) by P.N. Elrod - I've read a couple of short stories set in this world, and I really ought to start in on full length novels.
The Girl of Fire and Thorns (Fire and Thorns #1) by Rae Carson - I feel like I'm missing out!
Graceling (Graceling Realm #1) by Kristin Cashore - This has been recommended to me so many times. I don't know what I've been waiting for.
Hold Me Closer, Necromancer (Necromancer #1) by Lish McBride - With a name like that, I have to read it.
In Shade and Shadow (Noble Dead Saga: Series 2, #1) by Barb and J.C. Hendee - I really liked the first series and it's time I finally try this series. This will be the seventh overall book in the full saga.
Lament: The Faerie Queen's Deception (Books of Faerie #1) by Maggie Stiefvater - Maggie Stiefvater is one of my all time favorites and I'm really looking forward to this.
Magic Bites (Kate Daniels #1) by Ilona Andrews - This urban fantasy series opener sounds exactly up my alley.
The Merchant of Death (Pendragon #1) by D.J. MacHale - I would have been about the perfect age for this when it was new, but somehow I managed to completely miss out. Better late than never, right?
Wolf's Blood (Firekeeper Saga #6) by Jane Lindskold - I might even have to do a reread of the previous installments to get ready - I loved this series so much and I'm looking forward to getting back into it.
Have you read any of these books and are you taking part in this monthly celebration? As always, thanks for visiting my blog and perhaps even commenting down below!
I think I read a Jane Lindskold book a while ago. And I like the look of the vampire one.
ReplyDeleteI loved her stuff in the past. :)
DeleteThe only one I've read is Lament and I really liked it when I read it.
ReplyDeleteGood to know!
DeleteThe only book on the list I've read is Graceling and I was blown away by it. I totally misread the prompt but I did make a fun-to-explore list. Check it out at Characters in Real Life
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing!
DeleteI loved The Girl of Fire and Thorns (the second book remains one of my all-time favorites). Hope these backlist books end up being great reads for you.
ReplyDeleteI hope so!
DeleteBoth Graceling and Lament are wonderful! I think my list of backlist books would be a mile long😁
ReplyDeleteMine is for sure!
DeleteI wasn't a massive fan of Graceling, hopefully you enjoy it more than I did!
