The Nightmare Before Christmas Book Tag

Welcome to The Nightmare Before Christmas Book Tag, an original book tag created by Carrie @ The Butterfly Reader.  Thanks for tagging me, Carrie - this looks like it's going to be a lot of fun!  Without further ado, let's get to the tag:

Sally - A book with a character who loves someone so much and actually gets them in the end.

I've got to go with Cress and Thorne from The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer.  They are one my favorite bookish couples - and they're are so many great ones in this series.

Jack - A book with a character who longs for more.

I'd say Jane Eyre from Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte still totally fits the bill - and she deserved more than she got to.

Zero - A book with a loyal sidekick.

Jenks is one of my recent favorite sidekicks - he and Rachel make a great team in The Hollows series by Kim Harrison.

Oogie Boogie - A book with one hell of a wicked villain.

Honestly, I can't imagine not choosing Dolores Umbridge from Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling.

Halloween Town - A book that's creepy or has a scary theme.

Scream All Night by Derek Milman - This YA horror/ contemporary totally deserves all the love it can get!

Christmas Town - A book that left you feeling warm and fuzzy inside.

The relationship between Cath and Levi in Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell is one of my all time favorites.

What's This? - A book that took you by surprise.

Nothing But Sky by Amy Trueblood was such a pleasant surprise - I can't recommend this YA historical fiction novel about a barnstorming team trying to make it big in the Roaring Twenties enough!

And that's it for the tag - if you'd like to join in on the fun, consider yourself tagged as well!  As always, thanks for visiting my blog - just let me know in the comments if you're decided to take part in this book tag!
