  5. Frankenstein isn't the first book I would think of when it comes to winter, but seeing it here, you are absolutely right, it's very wintry.

  7. Great list! NOS4R2 is such a fun read for the winter. It's been so long since I read Frankenstein, I need to give it a re-read at some point!

  8. I have seen The Shining a few times today. Never read the book, but the movie prompted many of my childhood nightmares.

  9. For whatever reason, I rarely think about Misery when it comes to winter reads, but it's really the perfect read for the season ... well, if you don't mind hobbling.

  10. The Shining made my list too! There are a surprising number of Stephen King books that take place in winter. I probably could have filled my whole list with them.
