  11. I just found your blog from stalking someone called Emily at sparrowsflysouth.blogspot! You remind me of me when I was a little younger c:

Love, Lies and Spies is one of those books where I'd read it just from the title. Especially as I spend three to four (plus?) hours on trains each day, I'd have a lot of time to get into it.

A Study in Charlotte is an interesting title, and it has a cover that is even more so. Something to know about me - I wildly appreciate a good book cover!

    1. Hi Amy, Thanks for visiting my little piece of the internet - Emily's one of my favorite bloggers to follow. :) It's funny that you say I remind you when you were younger because based on your about me section I'm approximately 10 years older than you are. :) Anyways, I'm glad you stopped by!

Love, Lies and Spies sounds like it will be a lot of fun - a great way to spend a long commute. A Study in Charlotte definitely had my attention from the moment I heard it was about Sherlock Holmes and Dr. John Watson's descendants. :)

  30. Hi Lauren! I'm a new reader and I love your blog.

To be honest, I have such a long reading list that I rarely read debut novels until they are about three years old! But a few here look like they are right up my street - will defs have to check out 'A Study in Charlotte'.

Also, I have nominated you for the One Lovely Blog Award.

    1. Hi Joanna! Thanks for visiting my blog - I'm pleased to know that you like what you see! :)

I know what you mean - mine is absurdly long, but I just can't help myself. Sometimes I'll get new books that I was really wanting to read, but they just end up sitting on my shelf because something newer and shinier came along.

Thanks so much for the nomination, by the way!

  33. You've got several books here that I've never even heard of but that look awesome. Especially Curio, because steampunk with that cover? Yes, please! Besides that, Thief of Lies and definitely Love, Lies & Spies sound wonderful! I might never have heard of these without this post, so thanks so much.

  35. Thanks for putting your list in order of publication date! It was so helpful in drawing my attention to the ones that are coming out soon. Having said that, I'm super intrigued by Love, Lies and Spies! This is the first time I've come across it and it sounds amazing. The cover is also wonderful!
