Happy Monday everyone! This week I'm sharing a couple of Robson & Jerome cover songs. That duo was composed of the two actors Robson Green and Jerome Flynn. I had no idea that either of them could sing at all. All the songs they performed from 1995-1997 were covers, but the interesting thing was that this all came from a scene in a tv show they were both in called Soldier Soldier where their characters performed a song. It produced such a huge audience response that Simon Cowell was even after them for awhile. I had no idea about any of this until I just happened to stumble upon this. I'm a fan of Grantchester and after this most recent was over on PBS, I decided to see if there was anything else featuring the cast members that I wanted to try and wound up finding these songs. Needless to say, I was really surprised. Anyway, give a listen to their covers of Unchained Melody (the music video uses some footage from the movie Brief Encounter (1945)!) and The White Cliffs of Dover:
How cool!

ReplyDeleteI had no idea either - just lucked out when I found out.
DeleteIs that... Bronn from Game of Thrones? I had no idea he could sing.
