Top Ten Tuesday: 2021 Releases I Was Excited to Read But Didn’t Get To

Happy Tuesday everyone!  Welcome to Top Ten Tuesday of 2022 which hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.  This week's topic is 2021 Releases I Was Excited to Read But Didn’t Get To.  I got to a lot of great 2021 releases, but of course there were a lot that I wish I could have squeezed in.  Here we go, in alphabetical order by title:

Bridge of Souls (Cassidy Blake #3) by Victoria Schwab - I made this one of my top priorities this year and just managed to cross it off, but I can't believe I've put it off until this year.

The Fall of Babel (The Books of Babel #4) by Josiah Bancroft - I'm not ready if I'm being honest.

The Final Girl Support Group by Grady Hendrix - Hendrix has quickly become one of my favorites, but for some reason this has just sat on my shelf...

Go The Distance (Twisted Tales #11) by Jen Calonita - Hercules is one of my favorite Disney movies and although I've never read any of the books in this series before, this one sounds like one I need.

Jade Legacy (The Green Bone Saga #3) by Fonda Lee - I know this is going to be brutal, but I'm counting down the days until my audiobook hold comes in.

Kate in Waiting by Becky Albertalli - I wasn't the biggest fan of Yes No Maybe So, but I'm still really looking forward to her newest contemporary.

Liberté (Enchantée #2) by Gita Trelease - I loved the first book in this duology, and I'd like to read this one of these days.  It kind of makes it hard to remember since I'm not quite sure if I'm to call it by it's original title, or it's new title: Everything That Burns

Miss Moriarty, I Presume? (Lady Sherlock #6) by Sherry Thomas - This Sherlock Holmes series is one of my favorites. Luckily, my library audiobook hold came in and I just got this one knocked out -  and it was great!

Survive the Night by Riley Sager - Everything this author has written has really worked for me - I'm just waiting on my audiobook hold to come in.  And I'm way down the wait list...

White Smoke by Tiffany D. Jackson - Everything this author has done so far has been excellent and I have a feeling this will be too!

What books did you want to read last year?  Have you read any of these books?  As always, thanks for visiting my blog and perhaps even commenting down below!

  3. I have a number of the Disney Twisted Tales Ebooks I would like to get through this year. I wasn't the biggest fan of The Little Mermaid one, so I put it aside. I am really enjoying the Aladdin one. I really enjoyed Kate in Waiting. I read the first book Everything That Bruns is the sequel to a few years ago, I might need to reread it and read the sequel this year. Here is my post-https://paigesofbook.wordpress.com/2022/01/18/top-ten-tuesday-2021-releases-i-wanted-to-read-but-didnt-get-the-chance-to-read/.

  6. Bridge of Souls and Liberte were both on my list this week too! I don't have that problem with Liberte in the UK as the UK publishers kept the original title.

  8. I like Becky A.'s writing so I bet her book will be a good one. I always feel like I am leaving good books behind each year yet so many new books call out to me. What to do?

  9. I read SURVIVE THE NIGHT last year. It's probably my least favorite of the Sager books I've read, but it still kept me turning pages. I need to start the Thomas series. It sounds really good.

    Happy TTT!

  10. I really want to read the Cassidy Blake series. I was waiting for my daughter to show interest, but think I may just read them on my own. She probably won't be happy I didn't wait though. I can't win. LOL The Final Girl Support Group is on my list too. I had really hoped to read that this past year but didn't get to it.
