Happy Tuesday everyone! Welcome to Top Ten Tuesday of 2022 which hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week's topic is 2021 Releases I Was Excited to Read But Didn’t Get To. I got to a lot of great 2021 releases, but of course there were a lot that I wish I could have squeezed in. Here we go, in alphabetical order by title:
Bridge of Souls (Cassidy Blake #3) by Victoria Schwab - I made this one of my top priorities this year and just managed to cross it off, but I can't believe I've put it off until this year. The Final Girl Support Group by Grady Hendrix - Hendrix has quickly become one of my favorites, but for some reason this has just sat on my shelf...
Go The Distance (Twisted Tales #11) by Jen Calonita - Hercules is one of my favorite Disney movies and although I've never read any of the books in this series before, this one sounds like one I need.
Jade Legacy (The Green Bone Saga #3) by Fonda Lee - I know this is going to be brutal, but I'm counting down the days until my audiobook hold comes in.
Kate in Waiting by Becky Albertalli - I wasn't the biggest fan of Yes No Maybe So, but I'm still really looking forward to her newest contemporary.
Liberté (Enchantée #2) by Gita Trelease - I loved the first book in this duology, and I'd like to read this one of these days. It kind of makes it hard to remember since I'm not quite sure if I'm to call it by it's original title, or it's new title: Everything That Burns.
Miss Moriarty, I Presume? (Lady Sherlock #6) by Sherry Thomas - This Sherlock Holmes series is one of my favorites. Luckily, my library audiobook hold came in and I just got this one knocked out - and it was great!
Survive the Night by Riley Sager - Everything this author has written has really worked for me - I'm just waiting on my audiobook hold to come in. And I'm way down the wait list...
White Smoke by Tiffany D. Jackson - Everything this author has done so far has been excellent and I have a feeling this will be too!

What books did you want to read last year? Have you read any of these books? As always, thanks for visiting my blog and perhaps even commenting down below!
Awesome list! Although none of these are on my TTT today, a few are on my TBR. Miss Moriaty, I presume, Bridge of Souls and Survive the Night.
ReplyDeleteHappy TTT!
Elza Reads
I hope you'll enjoy them!
DeleteI still haven't read any of the Cassidy Blake books, I really need more time as less esciting new books distracting me! Hope you enjoy your reading.
ReplyDeleteThat whole series has been marvelous. I hope you enjoy when you get there. :)
DeleteI have a number of the Disney Twisted Tales Ebooks I would like to get through this year. I wasn't the biggest fan of The Little Mermaid one, so I put it aside. I am really enjoying the Aladdin one. I really enjoyed Kate in Waiting. I read the first book Everything That Bruns is the sequel to a few years ago, I might need to reread it and read the sequel this year. Here is my post-https://paigesofbook.wordpress.com/2022/01/18/top-ten-tuesday-2021-releases-i-wanted-to-read-but-didnt-get-the-chance-to-read/.
ReplyDeleteI haven't read any of them, but they definitely look tempting.
DeleteI haven't read any of the Twisted Tales yet, but I do have a few on my TBR.

That's been my experience too. Thanks for sharing!
DeleteBridge of Souls and Liberte were both on my list this week too! I don't have that problem with Liberte in the UK as the UK publishers kept the original title.

Well, that's lucky at least. :)
DeleteI'd really like to read some of V.E. Schwab's work! Here is our Top Ten Tuesday. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteShe's easily one of my all time favorite authors. :)
DeleteI like Becky A.'s writing so I bet her book will be a good one. I always feel like I am leaving good books behind each year yet so many new books call out to me. What to do?
ReplyDeleteI feel that!
DeleteI read SURVIVE THE NIGHT last year. It's probably my least favorite of the Sager books I've read, but it still kept me turning pages. I need to start the Thomas series. It sounds really good.
ReplyDeleteHappy TTT!

All of his have been great, so I'm hoping it's still very good. :)
DeleteI really want to read the Cassidy Blake series. I was waiting for my daughter to show interest, but think I may just read them on my own. She probably won't be happy I didn't wait though. I can't win. LOL The Final Girl Support Group is on my list too. I had really hoped to read that this past year but didn't get to it.
ReplyDeleteDecisions, decisions!
DeleteThat Sherry Thomas book looks like a lot of fun. Those and Raybourn's books...
ReplyDeleteThat whole series has been really cool.
DeleteSurvive The Night looks great—I really like Riley Sager.

DeleteThe Final Girl Support Group was a lot of fun, not my favorite of his books, but still good😁
ReplyDeleteGood to know, Tammy!
DeleteI love the Lady Sherlock series too. (Another common reading love for us besides Jonathan Strange and Twilight of Avalon!) Need to catch up on that series. ~Lex
ReplyDeleteI especially enjoy the audiobook production of this series. Happy reading, Lex!
DeleteHaven't heard of Sager before but it seems like he writes thrilling thrillers!
ReplyDeleteI'm hooked on his style -I don't know why I've been putting this one off!
