Top Ten Tuesday: Books With Snakes On The Cover

Happy Tuesday everyone!  Welcome to Top Ten Tuesday which is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.  This week's topic is Books With __ On The Cover, so I decided to go with Books With Snakes On The Cover.  Remember when it seemed like every other book had a snake on the cover?  Well, these books are some of the ones I've actually read and liked.  Here we go, in alphabetical order by title:

The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes (The Hunger Games #0) by Suzanne Collins

Have you read these books before?  As always, thanks for visiting my blog and perhaps even commenting down below!

  1. I am terrified of snakes, even if it's a pet snake, but the cover of Forest of a Thousand Lanterns is a pretty one. Thanks for sharing them.

  2. Girl, Serpent, Thorn is the prettiest of snake covers. Great choice for this week's TTT.

  3. Snakes were everywhere for a while! I like a lot of these. Ballad is nice but I really like Forest. Ninth House and Holly Black are nice too.

  4. This is cool, but also creeps me out a bit!

  5. When I first read this title I literally thought it said "snacks".

Aside from my lack of attention to the title, I am still at school and am currently reading Ballad Of Songbirds and Snakes in class as a reading program. I'm not liking it as much as the original Hunger Games though!

    1. It definitely isn't anywhere near as good. I was hoping for a much different kind of prequel.

  6. So many good covers! For a while there, publishing really had a love affair with the snake, didn't it?

  7. I think the snake trend is alive and well, I still see them on covers😁 These are excellent choices!

    1. True, just not quite with that same level of frequency it seems like. At least to me. :)

  8. I don't think the snake phase is over yet. :) I love snakes, but I bet a lot of people hate these books just because of the covers. :)

  9. Oh, goodness! I am glad I wasn't the only person confused by all those snake cover books! I suppose thet are meant to indicate that there's something dark underneath all that glitter? And usally comes hand-in-hand with flowers or crowns. Great post!

  10. The book snake was everywhere for a while! I've read quite a few of these: Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes (not a big fan), Girl, Serpent, Thorn (it was okay), Ninth House (okay, but not my favourite Bardugo book) & Kingdom of The Wicked (kind of underwhelming). I have some of the others on my TBR as well: Forest of A Thousand Lanterns & The Last Magician.

  11. I never would have thought of this as a cover theme. I am repulsed by snakes so it doesn't seem like a good idea to me.
