Spoonbenders by Daryl Gregory sounded like it was going to be right up my alley, but the opening just put me right off. If you've read this, I have a feeling you know what scene I'm talking about. I had a tough time getting back into the characters. It just wasn't for me.
My review is also on Goodreads.

Lobizona (Wolves of No World #1) by Romina Garber is an excellent YA fantasy novel that deals with quite a few important, difficult, and timely issues. If you're at all interested in magical realism, this is definitely worth picking picking up. Now, if only there wasn't a romance then this could have been a five star book. I'm definitely looking forward to the sequel.
My review is also on Goodreads.
Have you read these books? Are you taking part in this challenge? As always, thanks for visiting my blog and perhaps even commenting down below!
I'm sorry you didn't enjoy Spoonbenders. But, at least you got a winner with Lobizona
ReplyDeleteExactly! Thanks for visiting!
DeleteI loved Spoonbenders but I don't remember the thing you're talking about in the beginning. I may have to go back and reread it😁
ReplyDeleteIt just didn't sit right with me.
