Happy Monday everyone! This week I'm sharing some of my favorite songs from the Barbie (2023) soundtrack. I had the opportunity to see the movie on it's opening night and it was hilarious. I didn't expect to love it nearly as much as I did. Anyway, the soundtrack is great and there are a lot of talented musicians that that are on the album, but Ryan Gosling's takes the lead in two songs and does a pretty fantastic job. I completely forgot he could sing before I heard him perform these songs, but then I remembered he did a pretty good job in La La Land. Anyway, give a listen to Ryan Gosling sing in I'm Just Ken and his cover of Matchbox Twenty's Push which is probably the best cover of that song I've heard:
I haven't seen Barbie yet, but I have been listening to the album. These songs are two of my favorites. Have a great week!
