Top Ten Tuesday: Longest Books I’ve Ever Read

Happy Tuesday everyone!  Welcome to the Top Ten Tuesday now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.  This week's topic is Longest Books I’ve Ever Read.  In August 2017 I completed the Longest Book Tag so this week I'm going to sharing the longest books I've read since then.  Here we go, starting with the longest:

theMystery.doc by Matthew McIntosh - 1,669 pages - I actually read this monster of a mixed media book in two days.  I can't say I'd recommend it unless you want the bragging rights of reading such a brick..

The Last Ever After (The School For Good and Evil #3) by Soman Chainani - 655 pages - This was a fantastic finale to the original three books in this fairy tale retelling series.

Cold Days (The Dresden Files #14) by Jim Butcher - 614 pages - I love this series so much and I spending so much time with Harry!

Skin Game (The Dresden Files #15) by Jim Butcher - 600 pages - This is the most recent installment of the series and it was fantastic.  I can't wait to see what comes next!

Crooked Kingdom (Six of Crows #2) by Leigh Bardugo - 546 pages - This was a brilliant finale to a marvelous series.  I can't believe it's over - I hope we see these characters again in the future.

Academ's Fury (The Codex Alera #2) by Jim Butcher - 534 pages - This is the third Jim Butcher book on this list, but this is from his ancient Roman inspired epic fantasy that is definitely worth trying especially if you're missing Harry.

Children of Blood and Bone (Legacy of Orisha #1) by Tomi Adeyemi - 525 pages - This debut YA fantasy was a breath of fresh air and I can't wait for the sequel!

The Gentleman's Guide to Vice and Virtue (Montague Siblings #1) by Mackenzi Lee - 513 pages - If you haven't read this, I highly recommend it.  I don't know about you, but I can't wait to see Felicity take center stage in the sequel.

Foundryside (Founders #1) by Robert Jackson Bennett - 512 pages - This is easily one of my favorite reads of all of 2018 and you all need it in your life.

City of Lies (Poison Wars #1) by Sam Hawke - 512 pages - This 2018 fantasy debut is also one of my favorite reads of this year.  I'm beyond excited to see more from this author in the future.

What are some of the longest books you've read this year?  Have you read any of these yet?  As always, thanks very much for visiting my blog and perhaps even commenting down below!

  1. You've read some amazing long books!
I didn't realise Gentleman's Guide was so long when I read it! I'm usually intimidated by long books and put them off, but I read the ebook.

    1. Well, the layout made it probably more like 200-300 pages of regular reading... it was just odd.

  4. Long books usually scare me, but I've read some good ones, including a few of these! I think the longest book I've read is probably a Stephen King book, he's written a bunch😁
