Top Ten Tuesday: Most Anticipated Releases For The First Half Of 2019

Happy Tuesday everyone!  Welcome to the Top Ten Tuesday now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.  This week's topic is Most Anticipated Releases For The First Half Of 2019.  Here we go, in order of release date:

The Bird King by G. Willow Wilson - Release date: 3/12/19 - I received an ARC from NetGalley and I can't wait to get to this historical fantasy from the author behind Ms. Marvel.

The Perfect Assassin (The Chronicles of Ghadid #1) by K. A. Doore - Release date: 3/14/19 - Debut epic fantasy with assassins?  I'm already sold - luckily for me I've received an ARC via NetGalley!

Shades of Magic, Vol. 1: The Steel Prince by V.E. Schwab - Release date: 4/30/19 - Of course I need this graphic novel featuring young Maxim Maresh (Rhy's father) from Shades of Magic universe.

Middlegame by Seanan McGuire - Release date: 5/7/19 - I managed to get approved for an ARC via NetGalley and I can't wait to read it.  It truly sounds like it will be awesome!

Little Darlings by Melanie Golding - Release date: 5/10/19 - This sounds like a deliciously creepy mystery thriller.  Plus, the main character has the same first name as me and I'm always ready for that!  I'm thrilled to say that I've also been approved for an ARC via NetGalley.

We Hunt the Flame by Hafsah Faizal - Release date: 5/14/19 - Hands down this is one of my most anticipated YA debuts of 2019!

Ghosts of the Shadow Market by Cassandra Clare - Release date: 6/4/19 - I'm always read for more from this world to be honest.

War of the Bastards (Royal Bastards #3) by Andrew Shvarts - Release date: 6/4/19 - I've loved the first two books in this series and I can't wait to see what happens here!

Dark Age (Red Rising Saga #5) by Pierce Brown - Release date: 7/9/19 - Gee whiz, talk about need!

Sword and Pen (The Great Library #5) by Rachel Caine - Release date: 7/9/19 - Honestly, I don't know if I can wait this long.  I have to admit, I'm really scared for Jess and company!

What books are you looking forward to in 2019?  Are you looking forward to any of these books?  As always, thanks for visiting my blog and perhaps even commenting down below!

  1. I haven't ever read a book by V.E. Schwab but there are a TON of booktubers who speak very highly of her books. Perhaps someday I should take a look and read up on what her novels are all about. Hope you enjoy these all, Lauren. :)

    1. I'm in the same boat! I have so many books that I'm reading that I own that I haven't gotten into this author, but I read about her constantly, which makes me feel like I'm missing out on something.

  3. I think MiddleGame sounds good. But the cover is creepy. One good thing about doing this activity, now I am really excited about a few upcoming books. Since I usually don't pay attention to releases this is a new position for me. Hope you get to read a few of your anticipated books. My Anticipated Releases

  9. I thought The Great Library was only a trilogy, so now I'm wondering how I missed the release of book four and the announcement of book five. Dark Age was going to be on my list this week but I still haven't finished Iron Gold, so I'm not 'anticipating' it so much as terrified of it!

I have both of their books on my shelf and I'm really hoping to get to them this year because everyone seems to love the characters and the worlds they create. Hopefully I'll love their stories as much as you do!
