Happy Tuesday everyone! Welcome to the Top Ten Tuesday now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week's topic is Most Anticipated Releases For The First Half Of 2019. Here we go, in order of release date:
The Bird King by G. Willow Wilson - Release date: 3/12/19 - I received an ARC from NetGalley and I can't wait to get to this historical fantasy from the author behind Ms. Marvel.
The Perfect Assassin (The Chronicles of Ghadid #1) by K. A. Doore - Release date: 3/14/19 - Debut epic fantasy with assassins? I'm already sold - luckily for me I've received an ARC via NetGalley!
Shades of Magic, Vol. 1: The Steel Prince by V.E. Schwab - Release date: 4/30/19 - Of course I need this graphic novel featuring young Maxim Maresh (Rhy's father) from Shades of Magic universe.
Middlegame by Seanan McGuire - Release date: 5/7/19 - I managed to get approved for an ARC via NetGalley and I can't wait to read it. It truly sounds like it will be awesome!
Little Darlings by Melanie Golding - Release date: 5/10/19 - This sounds like a deliciously creepy mystery thriller. Plus, the main character has the same first name as me and I'm always ready for that! I'm thrilled to say that I've also been approved for an ARC via NetGalley.
We Hunt the Flame by Hafsah Faizal - Release date: 5/14/19 - Hands down this is one of my most anticipated YA debuts of 2019!
Ghosts of the Shadow Market by Cassandra Clare - Release date: 6/4/19 - I'm always read for more from this world to be honest.
War of the Bastards (Royal Bastards #3) by Andrew Shvarts - Release date: 6/4/19 - I've loved the first two books in this series and I can't wait to see what happens here!
Dark Age (Red Rising Saga #5) by Pierce Brown - Release date: 7/9/19 - Gee whiz, talk about need!
Sword and Pen (The Great Library #5) by Rachel Caine - Release date: 7/9/19 - Honestly, I don't know if I can wait this long. I have to admit, I'm really scared for Jess and company!
What books are you looking forward to in 2019? Are you looking forward to any of these books? As always, thanks for visiting my blog and perhaps even commenting down below!
I haven't ever read a book by V.E. Schwab but there are a TON of booktubers who speak very highly of her books. Perhaps someday I should take a look and read up on what her novels are all about. Hope you enjoy these all, Lauren. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm in the same boat! I have so many books that I'm reading that I own that I haven't gotten into this author, but I read about her constantly, which makes me feel like I'm missing out on something.
DeleteI hope the both of you enjoy Schwab - she quickly blew me away with her talent! Fingers crossed for you two! :)
DeleteSo many good ones. I legit can't wait for We Hunt the Flame, so happy we are getting so much diverse fantasy book in 2019.
ReplyDeleteOh, yes! Happy reading, Mir. :)
DeleteI think MiddleGame sounds good. But the cover is creepy. One good thing about doing this activity, now I am really excited about a few upcoming books. Since I usually don't pay attention to releases this is a new position for me. Hope you get to read a few of your anticipated books. My Anticipated Releases
ReplyDeleteI always add so many to my tbr during these kinds of posts... :D
DeleteThanks for sharing, Anne!
Little darlings and War of the Bastards (woah! that cover) look awesome to me, and I haven't read Pierce Brown but that cover's amazing too (even though it's snakes lol).
ReplyDeleteThey sound like they have a lot of potential!
DeleteI know what you mean about the snakes thing...
Middlegame does look intriguing. I keep seeing it around and it's interesting me. My TTT
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing, Chrissi!
DeleteThat cover for Dark Age! I've already pre-ordered Ghosts of the Shadow Market (and Chain of Gold). SOme of these books are new to me.
ReplyDeleteOoh, good idea. :)
DeleteThank for coming over, Brooke.
Wow! So many epic covers up there. I am interested in Shadow Market, because I heard it's a must to keep up with where CC is going.
ReplyDeleteFor sure!
DeleteI totally understand that. :)
Great list! I love the cover of We Hunt the Flame and I'm sure I'll end up picking a copy of it up when it's released. I love sound of The Bird King!
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed we'll both enjoy!
DeleteI thought The Great Library was only a trilogy, so now I'm wondering how I missed the release of book four and the announcement of book five. Dark Age was going to be on my list this week but I still haven't finished Iron Gold, so I'm not 'anticipating' it so much as terrified of it!
ReplyDeleteThat's what I thought it was initially, so needless to say I'm glad we're getting to spend more time with these characters. :)
DeleteI'm looking forward to reading "Middlegame" as well!
ReplyDeleteThis is my Top Ten Tuesday post.
Thanks for sharing!
DeleteI have The Steel Prince comics (well the first three volumes anyway) but still need to read them!

ReplyDeleteThanks, Tammy! :)
DeleteWonderful list. I love Seanan McGuire and have said I would read the telephone book if she wrote it. Hope you find time for all of these!
ReplyDeleteFrom my experience with her, I'd say the same thing! :)
DeleteThanks for coming over, Barb.
I have an ARC of Little Darlings that I need to read (I have others that publish before it though). It sounds SO GOOD.
ReplyDeleteHere is our Top Ten Tuesday. Thank you!
It really does. Hopefully we'll both enjoy it, Aymee. :)

DeleteOoooh Schwab's series is being made into a graphic novel? I had no idea! I still have yet to read that series anyways... maybe this year it'll finally happen. :)
ReplyDeleteI've been hearing some superb things about Little Darlings, I might have to check it out myself.
By the sound of it, it's more like a prequel! :D
DeleteThanks for visiting, Bonnie.
These covers are seriously all so mesmerising! A whole heap of these are new to me, so thank you for that :)
ReplyDeleteNo problem!
DeleteLittle Darlings sounds totally creepy!!! Middlegame sounds interesting too-- I've been looking for something totally different & this sounds like exactly that. Great list!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Michelle!
DeleteThis is a great list and I’ve added some to my TBR. The cover for The Bird King is gorgeous. I love Cassandra Clare and need to get Ghosts of the Shadow Market. I read the first story but it would be great to have the collection.

DeleteThis is horrible to admit, but I still need to read a book by V.E. Schwab and Cassandra Clare. I have both of their books on my shelf and I'm really hoping to get to them this year because everyone seems to love the characters and the worlds they create. Hopefully I'll love their stories as much as you do!
ReplyDeleteJen @ Star-Crossed Book Blog
You really ought to get on that! :D Good luck, Jen.
DeleteGhosts of the Shadow Market looks so interesting! Hope you have fun with all of them as you get to try them!
