Top Ten Tuesday: Upcoming Releases From African-American Authors That I Can't Wait To Read

Happy Tuesday everyone!  Welcome to the Top Ten Tuesday now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.  This week's topic is Books that Give Off Summer Vibes (submitted by Kristin @ Lukten av Trykksverte), but I'm doing something completely different.  Instead I'm featuring upcoming releases from African-American authors that I can't wait to read.  Given everything that's been going on around the world and in our own backyards, I thought I could try to spread some positivity - it's the least I can do to be a good ally to try to amplify voices that should be heard.  Here we go, in alphabetical order by title:

The Conductors by Nicole Glover - Release date: April 13th, 2021

Dear Justyce (Dear Martin #2) by Nic Stone - Release date: September 29th, 2020

The Gilded Ones (Deathless #1) by Namina Forna - Release date: February 9th, 2021

Grown by Tiffany D. Jackson - Release date: September 15th, 2020

Legendborn (Legendborn #1) by Tracy Deonn - Release date: September 15th, 2020

Ring Shout by P. Djeli Clark - Release date: October 13th, 2020

Trouble the Saints by Alaya Dawn Johnson - Release date: July 21st, 2020

The Voting Booth by Brandy Colbert - Release date: July 7th, 2020

The Year of the Witching by Alexis Henderson - Release date: July 21st, 2020

What books are you looking forward to?  Are any of these on you TBR?  As always, thanks for visiting my blog and perhaps even commenting down below!  Stay healthy and safe everyone.

  6. Great topic! I have a number of these on my TBR list. It makes me happy to see brown faces on book covers since I want my daughter (who's adopted and bi-racial) to see herself reflected in them.

    Happy TTT!

  7. Love your twist on TTT this week! Oh my gosh, I think all of these are already on my TBR? Except The Conductors, but psh, it's there now, even though 2021 still feels so far away. I think I'm looking forward to Legendborn, Ring Shout, and The Year of the Witching the most! There's so many fantastic releases coming up this year.
