2021 Popsugar Reading Challenge - Announcement & Potential TBR

Happy Saturday everyone! This year, I took part in the Popsugar Reading Challenge for the first time ever and I'm coming back in 2021 for more fun.  Like last time there are 40 regular prompts and an additional 10 advanced prompts.  Between this and Book Riot's Read Harder Challenge, I think I'm going to have pretty great reading year!  Keep reading to see my TBR for the 2021 Popsugar Reading Challenge:

1. A book that's published in 2021

My choice: A Vow So Bold & Deadly (Curseworkers #3) by Brigid Kemmerer - I've loved the first two installments of this series and I can't wait to see how it all ends.

2. An Afrofuturist book

My choice: Home (Binti #2) by Nnedi Okorafor - I'm surprised I haven't already read this one based on how much I liked the first part.

3. A book that has a heart, diamond, club, or spade on the cover

My choice: King of Fools (The Shadow Game #2) by Amanda Foody - Ace of Shades was quite a bit of fun and it's time to get caught up.

4. A book by an author who shares your zodiac sign

My choice: Chain of Iron (The Last Hours #2) by Cassandra Clare - I can't resist this series!

5. A dark academia book

My choice: Catherine House by Elisabeth Thomas - I just happened to find this at a library book sale and it sounds like it has potential.

My choice: Hidden Figures: The American Dream and the Untold Story of the Black Women Mathematicians Who Helped Win the Space Race by Margot Lee Shetterly - I can't resist a story about hidden women's history. Plus, I really enjoyed the movie adaptation so it's more than time to read the source material.

27. A book about do-overs or fresh starts
