Music Monday: Good King Wenceslas

Happy Monday everyone and welcome to my tenth Music Monday! Let's share some songs we've been enjoying lately!  If you would like to play and I really hope you do, please see the rules and link up below.

Rules:

Every Monday share one or two of songs you've been enjoying lately.  It doesn't have to be a specific genre, new, or one of your favorites - just something you'd like to share with others.  If possible, share a music or lyric video of the song and your thoughts on the song(s), artist(s), and/or music video(s).

If you would like to participate in Music Monday, please join the link up at the bottom of this post by sharing your post's url.

Finally, have fun sharing and discovering new to you music!

"Good King Wenceslas" - I've probably mentioned it before, but this is my favorite Christmas song ever.  I would love it if this was one of those Christmas songs that got played over and over and over again, but for some reason it isn't and I have never understood why that's the case.  The best cover of the song, in my opinion is by The Ames Brothers from the 1950's.  It's a faster and more boisterous rendition than most others covers I've heard.  I also really enjoy the cover from the 1940's by Bing Crosby featuring Rosemary Clooney.  It sounds entirely different in style and tone, but you can't go wrong with Bing.

  1. I should have done Christmas songs but I've been playing them for weeks so none are standing out to me this week but great post!
