Brave New World by Aldo Huxley
Contact by Carl Sagan
Doomsday Book by Connie Willis
The Drowned World by J.G. Ballard
Dune by Frank Herbert
Logan's Run by William F. Nolan and George Clayton Johnson
Ringworld by Larry Niven
Slaughterhouse-Five by Kurt Vonnegut
Stranger in a Strange Land by Robert A. Heinlein
Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea by Jules Verne
Have you read any of these classics? Are you participating in Sci-Fi Month this year? What backlist books do you want to read? As always, thanks for visiting my blog and perhaps even commenting down below!
Great list! Doomsday Book is one that I'd really like to read, too.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteI'm so bad when it comes to classics, I think the only book on this list I've read is The Doomsday Book. Oh, and I've watched Logan's Run, does that count? Great list!
ReplyDeleteI'd say it counts. :D
DeleteI LOVED Brave New World. I had to read it back in high school, but it was one of my favorites. Here is my list of backlogged books.
ReplyDeleteI wonder why it wasn't required reading at my school...
DeleteI do want to read Dune one day - I tried when I was 14 and didn't like it but my reading tastes have changed so much since then.

I sure know mine have!
DeleteDune and Slaughterhouse Five are also on my I-really-need-to-read-these list. I did something similar for my TTT, just about horror books. https://ichleseblog.wordpress.com/2018/11/06/top-ten-tuesday-10-horror-books-i-cant-believe-i-havent-read/
ReplyDeleteBrave New World is on my TBR too. I keep meaning to read it, but it intimidates me a little too much.
ReplyDelete- Louise
I know that feeling.
DeleteI've always wanted to read Brave New World. Hope you enjoy all these novels, Lauren!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Alicia!
DeleteI read Logan's Run a while back and mostly liked it, I think? I love the idea, I should really read it again! Dune I wasn't super fond of but a lot of people love it, so it's probably just me. :)
ReplyDeleteI did read 20,000 Leagues Under the sea a few years ago as well.
I need to catch up!
DeleteI really want to get into more sci-fi! Brave New World sounds amazing.
ReplyDeleteMy TTT post!
I've heard so many amazing things about.
DeleteI love Brave New World! And I want to read Slaughterhouse-Five by Kurt Vonnegut.

One of these days!
DeleteGreat list. I still need to get to a few of these too, especially 20.000 leagues under the sea.
ReplyDeleteThanks for coming over!
DeleteI haven't read any of these, but these are books that everybody should get around to reading someday. I've thought about reading Brave New World for years now.
ReplyDeleteWe'll have to get one it!
