Top Ten Tuesday: Books I Wish I Had Read As a Child

Happy Tuesday everyone!  Welcome to the Top Ten Tuesday now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.  This week's topic is Books I Wish I Had Read As a Child.  I'm focusing on picture books that I wish I was able to experience for he first time when I was little, instead now as an adult.  Now doubt about it, though, these are all delightful.  Here we go, in alphabetical order by title:

Dragons Love Tacos by Adam Rubin

Grace for President by Kelly DiPucchio

A Hundred Billion Trillion Stars by Seth Fishman

Magritte's Marvelous Hat by D.B. Johnson

Pete the Cat: I Love My White Shoes by Eric Litwin and James Dean

Rosie Revere, Engineer by Andrea Beaty

She Persisted by Chelsea Clinton

They All Saw A Cat by Brendan Wenzel

Those Darn Squirrels! by Adam Rubin

Waiting by Kevin Henkes

Have you read any of these picture books?  What are some of your favorite picture books?  As always, thanks for visiting my blog and perhaps even commenting down below!

  1. My kids are 30 and 25, so they've outgrown children's books for ages, maybe that's why I don't know those books. But they look fantastic.

I did a similar topic last year and therefore have linked to the one I did then ( Top Ten Books I wish I read as a kid). My TTT today is an old one I missed (Books I'll Never Read).

    2. I used to work in the school library when my kids were young. And organized our book fair (together with a great friend). So, I used to see many of them, as well. Not any more. But it's nice to see them online like here.

  4. Aw, fun choices. Normally I wouldn't have any reason to know any of these, but Eric Christian Olsen read Dragons Love Tacos & Rosie Revere on his Instagram recently, and now they are permanently stamped with a Delightful sticker in my memory.

  5. I thought maybe there would be a few I read with my daughter, when she was small, but there are not. I am glad there are books about women engineers for small children. It's good to expose them to the fact that women can do any job they want.
