The Friday 56 (With Book Beginnings): Feet of Clay (Discworld #19) by Terry Pratchett + 50/50 Friday

On Friday's I take part in three weekly link ups - The Friday 56, hosted by Freda's Voice, Book Beginnings, hosted by Rose City Reader, and 50/50 Friday is a new weekly link up and it is hosted by Carrie @ The Butterfly Reader and Laura @ Blue Eye Books. For The Friday 56, you choose a book, a book you have just finished, a book you are about to start, your current read, and share a line or a few lines that grab you (but don't spoil anything) from page 56 or 56% of the way through the ebook. Post it and share your post's url on Freda's most recent Friday 56 post. As for Book Beginnings, you share the first sentence or so and your initial thoughts, impressions, or whatever else it inspires, and then link up your post's url with Rose City Reader. Then, for 50/50 Friday, every week there's a new topic featuring two sides of the same coin - you share a book that suits each category and link up on the hosts blogs.

Happy Friday everyone!  This week I'm spotlighting one of my Magical Readathon N.E.W.T.s 2020 books, Feet of Clay (Discworld #19) by Terry Pratchett.  I love this series and I'm so glad to be back into Discworld.

Beginning:

It was a warm spring night when a fist knocked at the door so hard that the hinges bent.

56:

Vimes face shut down.  Nobby preferred it when people shouted.  He had been shouted at for most of his life.  He could handle shouting.

50/50 Friday: Favorite/ Least Favorite Cassandra Clare Book Cover

Favorite - Lady Midnight (The Dark Artifices #1) by Cassandra Clare - I love the color palette with the blues and golds.

Least Favorite - City of Bones (The Mortal Williams #1) by Cassandra Clare - I enjoyed the story that kicked it all off, but not so much this particular cover.

What are you reading this weekend?  Have you read any of these books?  As always, thanks for visiting my blog and perhaps even commenting down below.

  1. I don't like loud knocking! Or shouting. But I am curious now. Thanks for sharing, and here's mine: “IMPERFECT WOMEN”

  2. I need to start reading the Disc world novels again. I used to read them a couple of years ago (at least 20....) and loved them! Thanks for the reminder.

Great share! Here's my Weekend Book Friends

  5. Have you read the other 18 books before this Discworld novel? I just returned the first Discworld novel to the library unread. I think I need a rainy day to settle in and immerse myself in a new world. My quotes are from Mr. Mercedes

    1. Not all of them. There are series within the series that are great fun.
