Happy Monday everyone!  This week I'm sharing some of my favorite tracks/ scenes from the movie Whisper of the Heart (1995).  I watched the movie in the original Japanese a little while ago and absolutely fell in love with it.  I'll admit that I was surprised how big of a role the song Country Roads plays in it.  Check out the opening sequence featuring the Olivia Newton-John cover of the song, a really cool violin and string ensemble sequence from the movie (it's the English version of the scene though), and outstanding Japanese cover of the song featured in the movie that I didn't know I needed in my life:

  3. This is such a lovely film. Honestly, I never expected to enjoy it as much as I did, but it's become one of my favourite Studio Ghibli pieces.
