Happy Tuesday everyone! This week's Top Ten Tuesday, a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, is Fairy Tale Retellings I've Read And Want To Read. I enjoy a good fairy tale retelling, so I'm really excited for this week's topic! First, I will list favorites I've read and then I'll list some I'm looking forward to reading. As much as I love mythology retellings like Percy Jackson and The Iron Druid Chronicles, I'm going to try not to mention those sorts of retellings here. Without further ado, here we go!

So, what do you think of my list? Do we share any titles or are there any you would recommend to me?
I love hearing from you guys and all comments are very much appreciated - I try my best to respond to everyone!
I have heard a lot about the Splintered series as well as Uprooted. I hope they are as good as the hype claims that they are!
ReplyDeleteI also put Ella Enchanted on my list but it seems that it's on pretty much everyones list XD
I hope the ending of Splintered series is as good as I hope, same with Uprooted!
DeleteGlad to see Ella all over the place. :)
I really want to read the Splintered series and Winter! I totally agree about the Lunar Chronicles :D

DeleteSplintered has been great so far and I hope you like it.
DeleteI don't know how much longer I can stand to wait!
Thanks for sharing!
I really need to read the Lunar Chronicles series. I'll have to bump it up on my TBR for September to read. Especially since Winter is coming out! Glad to know you liked this series :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for stopping by My TTT :)
Oh, my! It's so good and I hope you enjoy it! :)
DeleteI think you have many books I really have on my TBR pile. Splintered is #1 on that list. This was such a fun post idea this week. I love retellings and you picked some good ones. Drop by my blog and sign up for my give-away. It relates to today's meme.

Thanks - I'll have to do that! I hope you enjoy Splintered!
DeleteYou've read some really good retellings. Ella is an old favorite of mine and I've heard great things about the Tale Dark and Grimm series. Everyone seems to love Uprooted- hope we both get to read it soon :)
ReplyDeleteI really lucked out when I stumbled upon A Tale Dark and Grimm! I've heard so many good things too - I can't wait to check out Uprooted!
DeleteI didn't think of Ella Enchanted! Great list! Thanks for stopping by my blog!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteOh I forgot all about Peter and the Starcatchers! I remember loving that book and its sequels when I first read them. I'll have to reread them.
ReplyDeleteAlso I'm reading Uprooted soon - just have to wait for it to arrive from the library!
I need to continue the series! :) Thanks for visiting and commenting!
DeleteI've read Splintered, but I still need to read Unhinged and Ensnared. I'd like to catch up before the release of Untamed in December. There is just too many books to read! haha Thank you for checking out my post!
ReplyDeleteSarah @ The Reading Petal
So many books so little time!
DeleteThanks for visiting mine too!
Nice list! I really want to read Ella Enchanted. A lot of these are on my TBR list.
ReplyDeleteChristina @ Books & Prejudice
It's so much - I hope you enjoy it!
DeleteI love the A.G. Howard covers. I haven't heard of those two books. I will have to look into them.
ReplyDeleteElla Enchanted and The Lunar Chronicles are all books I hope to read at some point. I just know I'll love them.
Mists of Avalon is one of my all time favorite books. :-)
Great list!
They're pretty fantastic and the covers are stunning! I'm really looking forward to Mists of Avalon!
DeleteThanks!
Ah - I forgot about Ella Enchanted! One of my favorites...

DeleteGreat list! I have Ella Enchanted and Cinder on my list but I've yet to read them. Splintered looks interesting but I have to say that the boy on the front of Ensnared looks a lot like Hayden Christensen.
ReplyDeleteHere's my TTT: http://myexpandingbookshelf.blogspot.com/2015/08/top-ten-tuesdays-4-aug.html
Thanks!
DeleteI never thought of that, but now that you mention it I'm seeing it! :)
I am also very excited for the publication of Winter. I think this is the first time I have seen the cover. What an engaging series! Have you read author Shannon Hale? Book of a Thousand Days and The Books of Bayern titles are wonderful.

ReplyDeleteI haven't yet, but I've heard about her and these titles - they're on my tbr. Thanks for visiting!
DeletePeter and the Starcatchers!! I really need to read that series, I've heard such good things. And I've seen Uprooted on quite a few lists today, but it's not strictly a retelling -- it's more just based in classic folklore and Grimm-Brothers-esque fairy tales, rather than being a straight-up retelling of anything -- but it is AMAZINGGGGG and 10000% worth reading!! ;)
ReplyDeleteI listened to Peter and the Starcatchers on audiobook and it had a fantastic production! I actually looked at a three chapter sampler of Uprooted and what I saw was awesome! :)
DeleteReally want to read A.G.'s "Alice" re-tellings. The covers are so inventive and I've not really read any Alive in Wonderland stories. But I did like Disney's (Tim Burton's) live-action film, so it might be fun to read some YA books that kind of re-spin the legend. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for visiting Dreaming Under the Same Moon, Lauren.
I liked the Tim Burton movie too. You might enjoy Howard's take on the classic! :)
DeleteUgh! How did I forget Uprooted?! I really want to read that one too! You have a great list! I read Mists of Avalon a long time ago and have re-read it twice since then. I love that story and I find myself thinking back about it every now and then. A sure sign of a good book, if you ask me. I hope you like it as much as I did! Thanks for visiting Bookworm Book Reviews! Happy reading! :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks! That's definitely a good sign! :)
DeleteWinter, I cannot wait for this release. I've never picked up Ella Enchanted, but I really should. Great list, Lauren!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I hope you like it! :)
DeleteYay for Peter and the Starcatchers! I had Cinder and Splintered on my list too. Great list!

Yay!
DeleteLawhead's Taliesin is actually a really good book. It's a mix of mythologies, which I liked :)

It sounds amazing! Thanks for sharing.
DeletePeter and the Starcatcher and Cinder have both been on my to-read list for a while now. I hadn't heard of Splintered - that looks really good!
ReplyDeleteIt's pretty darn good - at least the first two! :) I hope you enjoy them!
DeleteOh, we share some really good ones! I want to read "Ella Enchanted", too, as well as The Lunar Chronicles. I also have "Peter and the Starcatchers" on my list. Although I didn't add the other books you listed, I want to read all of them, too!
ReplyDeleteGREAT list!! Thanks for sharing! Happy Reading!! : )
Here's my TT list:

Thanks very much! Happy reading. :)
DeleteElla Enchanted is one I want to read soon. I THINK I read it a long time ago when I was a lot younger...but I don't remember it at all. I'm curious to see how I would enjoy it now :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoy it then! I never actually read it when I was younger - got to it much later. :)
DeleteI definitely need to read the Splintered series! And the rest of The Lunar Chronicles, of course, the one I really cannot wait to get my hands on is Uprooted though, it sounds SO amazing! Fabulous list :)
ReplyDeleteShannon @ It Starts At Midnight
They're so good! I hope you enjoy them when you get the chance.
