Top Ten Tuesday: Horror Movies I Want To See

Happy Tuesday everyone and welcome to Top Ten Tuesday, a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.  This week's topic is a Halloween themed freebie, so I'm opting to do my list on horror movies I want to see that I have never seen before. Here we go, in alphabetically order:

An American Werewolf in London (1981)

The Babadook (2014)

The Final Girls (2015)

Goodnight Mommy (2014)

The Innocents (1961)

It Follows (2015)

The Loved Ones (2009)

The Orphanage (2007)

Scouts Guide to the Apocalypse (2015)

Victor Frankenstein (To be released November 25, 2015)

So what do you think of my list this week? Have you seen any of these movies, or are they on your to-watch list? What are some of your favorite movies to get you in the Halloween spirit?

  8. The Babadook was horrifying. We watched it one night when we couldn't find much else and it was one of the scariest films we have seen this year. I would also recommend Insidious 3. It was much better than 1 and 2 and you really don't miss much by going straight to it as it's technically a sequel anyway.

    1. Sounds like I must watch it then!

I didn't really care for 1 or 2, but I might have to try number 3 now. :)

  10. I didn't even try to watch the trailers! LOL but I can definitely say The Orphanage is my favourite movie of all time. It has drama, suspense, an eerie setting, and a story that is very moving and memorable. The cinematography was beautiful too :D The Babadook is scary as well, I won't attempt to watch it alone! ever!

  22. Maybe I'm kind of desensitized when it comes to most horror movies. I get bored, but if I'm going to watch a scary movie I don't what it to be what I call. "Gorror" I hate gore, or scary movies that pin everything scary on something gory.

  24. You've got a good mix of new and old films! I'm such a wimp, I can't do horror movies. My dad recently got into The Walking Dead tv show --I can just barely tolerate the episodes I've seen (I feel like I could get attached to the characters, but they keep killing people off and the zombies ... eeh). =)

  28. I am such a chicken when it comes to scary movies. Well, that and as soon as I start getting attached to one of the characters, they get killed off. I don't think I could watch any of these if I wanted to sleep - ever - again.

  29. Yeaaah, I don't think I'll be caught watching any of these! Total wuss.

  30. I haven't seen very many horror movies. I'm a scaredy cat, yet I'm always curious about frightening stories! Great list!

  31. I have heard of...none of these. But I guess the only horror movies I've ever watched was last year when one of the various movie channels was playing a bunch. We watched one with a possessed kid, I remember that, but we were also both extremely tired and battling with the dog at the same time so I can't remember what it was called. Most of these seem super interesting!

  35. Oh gosh, I'm not big on horror movies, I get scared to easily! But I really want to see Frankenstein! Who wouldn't with James McAvoy and Daniel Radcliffe in it! And I've never heard of the final girl but it looks hilarious! Will definitely take my pillow and go watch that.

    Great list
