Priest of Bones (War for the Rose Throne #1) by Peter McLean had been on my tbr for a long time but I'm glad I finally got around to it. I'm usually a fan of grimdark fantasy, but unfortunately this one didn't quite work for me as well as I would have liked it to. I'd head it compared to Peaky Blinders and I definitely see the comparison to it. As much as I enjoyed that tv show, this novel was just off-putting to me from fairly early on. I'm glad I stuck with it to cross it of my tbr, but I won't be back for the rest of the series.
