SciFi Month 2024 - Sunday Funday: Week 4 Update

Happy Sunday everyone and welcome to my fourth weekly update for SciFi Month 2024!  Sci-Fi Month is a month long celebration of all things sci-fi and it's hosted by Lisa @ Dear Geek Place, Imyril @ There's Always Room For One More, Annemieke @ A Dance With Books, and Mayri @ Book Forager (Image credit: Artwork by Sxwx).  Keep reading to see what I got up to since last time:

My SciFi Month Posts This Week:

What I Watched This Week:

 ❋  .5
Paul McGann is easily my favorite part of Doctor Who: The Movie (1996). He's fun to watch as the Doctor once he gets going. To bad he didn't have more screen time than he did.

My review is also on Letterboxd.

 ❋
I didn't realize that Badland Hunters (2024) is a sequel to a movie I haven't seen called Concrete Utopia (2023), but it was still a fun action dystopia.  It seems like this one follows a new set a characters and is set three years after the events of the first movie.  Anyway, Don Lee (also known as Ma Dong-seok) gets a lot of great action scenes and the movie has some decent emotional beats as well.

My review is also on Letterboxd.

 ❋

I watched episodes 2 and 3 of Travelers, Season 2 (2017) this week and I'm just glad to be seeing more of these characters.  I'm very nervous for them.  I'm very surprised to realize I'm probably the most nervous for David - I hope he'll be okay.

What I Read This Week:

Conquistador by S.M. Stirling could honestly be cut down from nearly 600 pages to 300. The description sounded so good, but I'd say I'm not nearly manly enough to not skim over a good portion of the detail in this. I usually like details, but not like this.  Honestly, my feelings about this kind of put me off from going back to catch up on the Emberverse series.

My review is also on Goodreads.

Are you taking part in SciFi Month 2024?  Have you read or watched any of these?  As always, thanks for visiting my blog and perhaps even commenting down below!
