SciFi Month 2024 - Sci-fi Movies & TV Shows I Want To Watch

Happy Saturday everyone!  Today I'm featuring the sci-fi movies and tv shows in honor of SciFi Month 2024!  Sci-Fi Month is a month long celebration of all things sci-fi and it's hosted by Lisa @ Dear Geek Place and Imyril @ One More (Image credit: Artwork by Sxwx).  I don't know how many of these I'll manage to get around to, but these are some sci-fi movies and shows I'd like to watch soon.  You can visit my Letterboxd list featuring the movies here if you are interested.

Movies

Absolutely Anything (2015) - I'm watching this for my 52 Years in 52 Films: 2024 challenge on Letterboxd.  It's always good to see Simon Pegg.

Altered States (1980) - This is also part of my 52 Years in 52 Films: 2024 challenge.  This sounds like it'll be crazy in a good way!

Badland Hunters (2024) - I spotted this South Korean dystopian movie on Netflix and it looks like it will be action packed.

The Butterfly Effect (2004) - I've been told over and over that I need to watch this and this month seems like a great choice to finally try it.  I'm also watching this for the Lettereboxd Season Challenge.

Doctor Who: The Movie (1996) - I haven't watched much of the original series, but I have enjoyed a lot of the series after this.  I hope I'll get a kick out of this.  This is also part of my Birth Year Challenge: Part 2 on Letterboxd.

Godzilla Minus One (2023) - I've heard so many brilliant things about this movie, and this month seems like the perfect time to watch it.

The Platform 2 (2024) - I really liked the first movie, so I'm hoping this dystopian sequel will be decent.

TV Shows 

Doctor Who - Season 13: Flux (2021), Eve of the Daleks, Legend of the Sea Devils, & The Power of the Doctor (2022), 60th Specials - The Star Beast, Wild Blue Yonder, & The Giggle (2023), The Church on Ruby Road (Christmas 2023), Season 1 (2024) - I need to get caught up asap!  Why have I been putting this off?

The Expanse, Season 2 (2017) - I don't know why I've been putting off continuing this series considering how much I liked the first season.

Lost in Space, Season 1 (2018) - One of my friends is really into this series and I have to finally try it for myself.

The Mandalorian, Season 1 (2019) - I watched Andor last Sci-Fi Month and was really impressed with it and next I'll have to try this and eventually work my way through the other live action Star Wars series.

Travelers, Season 2 (2017) - Season 1 was a pleasant surprise when I watched it last year and I'm looking forward to finding out what happens next.
