Happy Tuesday and welcome back to Top Ten Tuesday, a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish! This week's topic is Books From X Genre That I've Recently Added To My TBR. Since I don't talk about YA Contemporary all that often this time I'm sharing ten YA Contemporary that I've recently added to my tbr. The first half are 2017 releases and backlist titles in the genre that I somehow haven't gotten around to that I've recently added as well. Here we go:
It Starts With Goodbye by Christina June
Tash Hearts Tolstoy by Kathryn Ormsbee
Amish Guys Don't Call by Debby Dodds
Alex, Approximately by Jenn Bennett
Letters to the Lost by Brigid Kemmerer
History Is All You Left Me by Adam Silvera
Every Exquisite Thing by Matthew Quick
The Memory Book by Lara Avery
P.S. I Like You by Kasie West
Love Letters to the Dead by Ava Dellaira
What have you recently added to you tbr? Have you tried any of these YA Contemporaries? As always, thanks for visiting my blog and perhaps commenting down below!
P.S. I Like You and The Memory Book are on my TBR. Our TTT
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed that we'll both enjoy them. :)
DeleteThanks for sharing.
I can't wait to read P.S. I Like you!
ReplyDeleteKelly @ http://morebooksmeansmorecoffee.blogspot.com
It sounds promising! :)
DeleteThanks for sharing.
I have read a few of the books on your list. I enjoyed P.S I Like You and Letters To The Lost. I hope you enjoy these books when you get around to them. :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Chrissi! :)
Delete"It starts with Goodbye" has such a beautiful cover. In fact it reminds me of "Because You'll Never Meet Me"!
ReplyDeleteI love that cover, too! :)
DeleteAlex Approximately is one I want to read. And Love Letters to the Dead doesn't look bad either. I've been reading a lot more contemps lately...
ReplyDeleteI have too = well, in comparison to my norm anyway. :)
DeleteGreat list! I tend to seek out some YA Contemporary in the summer so I'll definitely be checking some of these out. =)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jess! Hopefully we'll enjoy them!
DeleteHave enjoyed contemporary YA for the first time this year. Loved Wing Jones and One Italian Summer. Would love to read Tash Hearts Tolstoy.
ReplyDeleteMy TTT is at: https://bookmurmuration.wordpress.com/2017/06/06/top-ten-tuesday-06-06-2017/
Hopefully they live up to our expectations. :)
DeleteThanks for sharing!
I am pretty much obsessed with contemporaries. I read Love Letters, PS I Like You, The Memory Book, Letters to the Lost, Alex Approximately, Amish Guys, and It Started with Goodbye. Most of those were fantastic. Have a lot of tissues handy for The Memory Book. I read it last year, and I remember all the ugly crying I did. I think I might cry now.
ReplyDeleteSam @ WLABB
I'll be sure to be prepared, Sam! Thanks for the heads up! :)
DeleteWhat a great list!! I really liked PS I Like You and enjoyed Love Letters to the Dead. I own so many of these - The Memory Book, Every Exquisite Thing, Alex, Approximately and It Starts With Goodbye that I still need to read.
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed that we'll like those two. :)
DeleteSafe to say this is not a sub genre I have much interest in. But I hope you enjoy all of them! And remember to read a good fantasy book in between them.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Nathan! I'll probably fit a few of them in between! :D
DeleteI haven't tried any of the books on your list yet, but Love Letters to the Dead sounds good.
ReplyDeleteHere is my Top Ten Tuesday!
Thanks for sharing, Astilbe!
DeleteI rarely read YA contemporary, but some of these have gorgeous covers -- and some I've heard really good things about. I hope you have a chance to read them all!
ReplyDeleteSome of these do have pretty wonderful covers, don't they?
DeleteThanks Lark!
History Is All You Left Me sounds like a good book! I've read P.S. I Like You and it's a cute little read.
ReplyDeleteI'll keep those two in mind. :)
DeleteI really think you'll enjpy Alex, Approximately. The characters share of a love for old Hollywood films which I know you also enjoy. Great list!
ReplyDeleteI have to say that pretty much the whole reason I added it to my tbr. :D
DeleteThanks for coming over, Alicia!
I loved The Memory Book! Tash Hearts Tolstoy is also really good. I really need to read History is All You Left Me, Alex Approximately, and Letters to the Lost ASAP. I have heard such great things about them all! Hope you enjoy these when you get to read them!
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed! Thanks for coming over, Shannon. :)
DeleteI really enjoyed Every Exquisite Thing and have several others of these on my TBR as well.
ReplyDeleteI don't know why I haven't read it already actually.
DeleteLove Letters to the Dead has intrigued me for years now, yet I still haven't got my own copy. There are so many gorgeous book covers here too, so pretty! 😍
ReplyDeleteGreat list!
Exactly! Thanks for coming over, Vena. :)
DeleteI loved a few of these, especially Letters to the Lost. It Started with Goodbye and P.S. I Like You were also adorable, though.
ReplyDeleteNicole @ Feed Your Fiction Addiction
I've heard so many great things about Letters to the Lost - I'll have to get there soon. :)
DeleteI LITERALLY HAVE ADDED EVERYTHING ON THIS LIST TO MY TBR (except for what i read so far) THANKS LAUREN, MY TBR JUST DEVOURED ME.
ReplyDeleteBut like you have to read P.S I Like You! That book was so cute. Thanks for sharing!!
No problem! I have that feeling all the time... :)
DeleteI've never read Kasie West before so I figure that'll be a good place to start.
I've been out of the blogosphere for a bit, but now I'm super excited for new releases! I've read a lot in the second half, but I'm really looking forward to Letters to the Lost and Tash Hearts Tolstoy! It Started With Goodbye has also been on my TBR for a while. Great picks, and hope you enjoy Every Exquisite Thing!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I hope you enjoy Letters to the Lost and Tash Hearts Tolstoy!
DeleteLoved Alex, Approx and Letters of the Lost and want to read Tash Hearts Tolstoy!
ReplyDeleteJen @ YA Romantics
As soon as I heard about classic films in Alex, Approximately I knew I had to add it to my list. Thanks for coming over, Jen. :)
DeleteIt's taken me awhile to get though my backlog of TTT posts. I haven't read any of these, but Love Letter to the Dead certainly sounds intriguing.
