Music Monday: The Incredibles

Happy Monday everyone and welcome back to Music Monday! Let's share some songs we've been enjoying lately!  If you would like to play and I really hope you do, please see the rules and link up below.

Rules:

Every Monday share a few songs you've been enjoying lately.  It doesn't have to be a specific genre, new, or one of your favorites - just something you'd like to share with others.  If possible, share a music or lyric video of the song and your thoughts on the song(s), artist(s), and/or music video(s).

If you would like to participate in Music Monday, please join the link up by sharing your post's url.

Welcome to the 2nd Music Monday of Sci-Fi Month (if you want to know more about this go here)!  This month all of the music I'm going to be sharing will be sci-fi related - this week I'm sharing my favorite tracks from one of my favorite Pixar movies, The Incredibles (2004) composed by Michael Giacchino.  I absolutely love the James Bond-esque 1960s spy jazz style used in the theme song and I can't resist the "Life's Incredible Again" which is featured in the training scene as Mr. Incredible begins to get back into shape again.  Does anyone else think this would make the best elevator or hold music?  Plus, I've also shared the 2011 Disneyland All-American College Band's performance of music from the movie - that trumpet soloist really kills it and so does that snare drummer (literally)!

  1. Love it! LOL I played again :) My choice of music this time, too.

  2. It seems like Michael Giacchino is writing a lot of memorable scores these days. His scores for the last three Star Trek movies were pretty darn good.
