Sci-Fi Month 2021 - Rated Fresh #ThrowbackThursday

Happy Thursday everyone!  In honor of Sci-Fi Month 2021 (Image credit: Photo by Liu Zishan on 123RF.com with a quote from Babylon's Ashes by James S.A. Corey), I'm taking part in the Sci-Fi Month Challenge and I'm sharing Rated Fresh #ThrowbackThursday (at least 2 years old).  The four books down below are four favorite YA sci-fi novels released in 2019.  I feel like I don't talk enough about how much I love them anymore.  Without further ado, here we go in alphabetical order:

DEV1AT3 (LIFEL1K3 #2) by Jay Kristoff - This whole trilogy was fantastic, especially in audiobook format.  Lemon Fresh really earned the spotlight in this sequel, that's for sure.

The Fever King (Feverwake #1) by Victoria Lee - This was an outstanding series opener.  I had no expectations going in, but it ended up being such a pleasant surprise.  I read it last year and I'm hoping to get to the sequel this month.  I need to know what's going to happen.

The Grace Year by Kim Liggett - I haven't read much dystopian in awhile, but this was one of the best of them.  It managed to combine The Handmaid's Tale, The Hunger Games, and The Lord of the Flies in about the best of ways.

The Last 8 (The Last 8 #1) by Laura Pohl - This debut was a cool combination of Independence Day meets The 5th Wave.  Plus, I really liked Clover, the lead character.  She's very self-sufficient and calm.  And, it's not often I get to see an aro character take the lead.

Have you read any of these books?  What are some of your favorite throwbacks?  Are you taking part in Sci-Fi Month this year?  As always, thanks for visiting my blog and perhaps even commenting down below!

  1. I'm sad I haven't read any of these yet, but they are all on my TBR, especially the Jay Kristoff series😁
