ARC Mini Reviews: Silver Nitrate & Reign of Demons

Happy Wednesday everyone!  Today, I'm sharing two ARC mini reviews - Silver Nitrate by Silvia Moreno-Garcia & Reign of Demons (War of the Last Day #3) by Karim Soliman.  I received the ARC of Silver Nitrate from NetGalley in exchange for an honest honest review and Reign of Demons from the author in exchange for an hones review.  Read on to see my thoughts:

 ❋ ❋

Silver Nitrate by Silvia Moreno-Garcia was one of my most anticipated reads of the year.  This author has quickly become one of my must reads.  I enjoy her style quite a bit and I'd say this is one her best.  The mystery is a cool slow burn and the setting is fantastic.  I love that all of the cast have incredibly unique voices making them feel realistic.  My favorite aspect of the novel is creepy atmosphere - you can practically taste it.  It's weird to say that a book set in the 1990s are historical fiction.  I guess I'm getting old!

My review is also on Goodreads.

 ❋ ❋

Reign of Demons (War of the Last Day #3) by Karim Soliman is the third (fourth if you count the prequel) and final installment of what has become one of my favorite epic fantasies.  I'm so glad I jumped at the chance to return to this world for the grand finale because the author really sent it off in style.  It's a long read, but it's worth every second and it feels like it just flies by.  The world-building and the character development is as usual outstanding.  I especially love all of the little details we learn here.  This series needs to be on any fan of the genre's must read list as every installment just seems to outdo itself.  There honestly needs to be more stars to accurately reflect just how much I loved this!

My review is also on Goodreads.

Have you read either of these books?  What have you been reading?  As always, thanks for visiting and perhaps even commenting down below!
