  1. After putting my list together, I realized "girl" was probably a word I could have used (I spotted about 3 without looking hard). But oh well. Next time, right!? ;)

  4. Yes, girl is a very common word for titles in this genre. I wonder if there are just as many YA books whose titles include the word boy?

Here is our Top Ten Tuesday. Thanks!

  5. I didn't realize how many "The Girl" titles are out there until I read your post! It makes you wonder if publishers deliberately use certain words and phrases to make a book successful😊

  6. Ha! I chose girl, too, but did genres other than fantasy. It seems to be a WAY over used word in titles. Time for authors to move on to something new!

  10. This is true with thriller/suspense books too I think! A lot of them have "Girl" (or "Woman" or "Daughter") in the title for sure. I did cozy mysteries for my list this week.

  11. Girl is definitely being talked about a lot today. I have 5 pages of "girl" books on my GR read shelf myself, though, I have on read The Girl of Fire and Thorns from your list (which is one of my favorite series).

  12. Wow I love your take on this list, I never would have thought of doing a list that starts with the same two words! I can't believe you found 10, I would have struggled doing it this way I think.
